Shortly after the release, Rich Robinson, Marc Ford and John Hogg did an intimate WDHA performance for a handful of chosen listeners (myself included). And if you look REALLY CLOSE, you will see that it is indeed signed in gold Sharpie at the top of the cover.

Yngwie Malmsteen / Dougie White

Yngwie Malmsteen was passing thru NJ at the Starland Ballroom. My pal Dave Iozzia and I hung out during soundcheck where I got to catch vocalist Dougie White and drummer Patrik Johansson outside the club. Both guys were very cool before and during the show where they signed autographs for the fans. Patrik would draw these little drumming stick figures (shown on the bottom right corner of my poster) for EVERYBODY who asked him for an autograph...even during the show!! A little foolish in retrospect, but a group of us waited outside, in the cold, late at night after the show, to try and catch Yngwie for an autograph. As what seems like "tradition", when Yngwie finally came outside (around 2:00am!) he hopped on the (warm) bus and his manager came out to collect items for him to sign. Oh well...

Posted signed by Yngwie, Dougie White,

Megadeth
2005 tour lineup: Dave Mustaine, Glen Drover (gtr), James MacDonough (bass), Shawn Drover (drms)

Megadeth was headlining the Summer's 2005 "Gigantour" along with Dream Theater. I had never seen either band and had wished that I had either bought a ticket or at least tried to win some from WDHA. To my rescue comes my friends Ted and Rob with an extra ticket to the show at the last minute!! When I arrived at the PNC Arts Center, I came across the vendor booth selling CDs of the various bands on the Gigantour tour. The best part was that for most bands, if you bought any CD you would get an opportunity for a "meet and greet"! I figured it was a great opportunity to meet Dave Mustaine of Megadeth!! Cool!

Steve Miller

I hate to say it but I was a bit bummed about "meeting" Steve Miller. Having been a fan since "The Joker", I've always felt him to be an "average guy" who makes great music. But here it is, a very HOT June day and myself, along with one other guy and a great family of 3 who came up from Delaware to see the show, are hoping to score an autograph and maybe a photo. So after hours of waiting, Steve finally shows up. He gets of his tour bus and blows us off on his way into the Count Basie for soundcheck. We figure, OK, maybe he's a bit late and has to get inside. After a really long soundcheck, Steve exits the building and tells us to "back off"!! So now, after hours in the heat, we're all pretty bummed out. The one guy leaves and the folks from Delaware decide to go grab a bite before the show. I say that I'll hang for another 15 minutes just to see what happens. As soon as everyone leaves, the (I think) tour manager knocks on Steve's tour bus door, goes inside, then comes back out and waves me over. He takes my stuff on board and Steve signs it. The guy comes back outside and apologizes but took pity on me having waited hours in almost 100 degree heat. Thanks Steve but most importantly, thanks to the other dude!

Misc Artists Signed Drumhead

Purchased item. Picked up this signed drumhead through the now defunct Pledge Music website. It was in support of the making of the rock documentary, Long Live Rock. But through a little investigative work, mine is signed by Josh and Jake Kiska from Greta Van Fleet (lower left and upper right), Andy Biersack from Black Veil Brides (lower right) and Jason Aalon Butler from The Fever 333 (top) and Ashley "Ash" Costello from the band New Years Day (bottom).

Michael Pare

Maybe not a legit "rock autograph" but Streets Of Fire was one hot rock and roll movie in 1984! Actor Michael Pare played the lead role in the movie and I caught up with him at the 2016 Chiller Convention where I had him sign my ORIGINAL copy of the soundtrack. Always loved that artwork!

Aside from being part of the British Prog Rock of the 70's, Parsons also had a hand in The Beatles' Abbey Road and Let It Be albums and Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon.!

Dolly Parton

I've decided to pull a few things out of "storage" and move them to this site! These two signed Dolly Parton photos are an example. I owe my sister, Maryann a thanks for these! Many years ago, Dolly planned to start a talk show in Florida and my sister was to be one of the people who would work on the show behind the scenes. The show never happened but my sis did score these great promo shots for me!

The great vocalist Davey Pattison was on tour recently with Robin Trower. I was lucky enough to grab Davey and ask him to sign a few things for me. Stephen Pearcy (former Ratt vocalist)

Stephen was appearing at the Starland Ballroom, on tour with LA Guns and WASP. My pal, Dave Iozzia and I decided to hangout in the parking lot early during soundchecks for the bands. Stephen had just finished his soundcheck when we arrived and caught him while he was taking some grub back to his tour bus. The Nitronic CD was one of Stephen's various solo projects.

UPDATE - I caught Stephen once again as he toured with the Metal Mania Stripped acoustic tour...which included Kip Winger, Don Dokken, Jani Lane and Firehouse. As in the past, Stephen was gracious enough to stop for some signatures and a quick photo.

Joe Perry

Another DHA event...Joe was out promoting his recent solo CD, Joe Perry. I got to the DHA parking lot after Joe had already gone inside. There were about 12-15 fans hanging around and they were saying that Joe probably wouldn't sign anything when he comes out...he was a bit "cranky". Cranky? I just found out I was losing my job and not sure how I would pay our bills or feed my family, but Joe may be to "cranky" to sign a piece of cardboard for a fan who has been buying his band's albums for years! I guess room service got his tea too hot again! Anyway, after we waited for about an hour or so, Joe and his entourage quickly exited the DHA studios and jumped into the limo and promptly started to leave. To our amazement...brake lights! Then backup lights!! And Joe's manager graced us with his presence to sign a few things for the fans...from inside the limo, of course...he didn't bother to get out. Wayne and Garth said it best..."we're not worthy"...obviously! Anyway, I got an old solo (vinyl) album signed.

Jeff Pilson

Jeff was the original bass player for the band Dokken. After he left the band, he'd gone on to form his own band, War and Peace, as well as playing with a number of other artists such as Dio. I caught Jeff, along with Mick Jones, Kelly Hansen and Jason Bonham as they arrived at the Count Basie Theater in Redbank, NJ, touring in Foreigner. Meeting Jeff completes my "trilogy" of sorts of meeting 3 of the 5 members of the band Steel Dragon. Steel Dragon is the "band" in the movie Rock Star, starring Mark Wahlberg. In the band, Jeff is the bass player, Jason Bonham is the drummer and Zakk Wylde is the lead guitarist. Thanks too my buddy, Dave Iozzia for getting the autographs on the top row (those in silver)...Dave was at the show and met with the band after.

UPDATE - Dave Iozzia and I caught up with "super-bassist" Jeff Pilson after a recent Foreigner show (which also includes Kelly Hansen on lead vocals, Jason Bonham on drums and Thom Gimbal on guitar and sax). Second time around I had Jeff sign the Dokken discs, Under Lock and Key, Tooth and Nail and Live From The Sun. And Jeff was also nice enough to stop for a photo before the band headed off to Canada!

At a recent centennial gala for NJ Worker's Compensation, they had Joe perform and then after the performance, my brother-in-law presented Joe a plaque. I finally caught up with Jersey's own, Franke Previte, at an appearance on the Seaside Boardwalk in 2019 (thanks to my pal, Dave Iozzia)! Back in the 80's, I was a fan of the band Franke & The Knockouts. They had some minor airplay at the time but never really took off. (Bon Jovi drummer Tico Torres was a part of the band at one time.) Gary Puckett

Purchased item. Recently, I caught some fund drive on PBS. In return for your pledge, you could get these CD or DVD collections of classic 60's shows like Hullabaloo or The Ed Sullivan Show. During these drives, they showed various clips of classic 60's bands, one of which was Gary Puckett and The Union Gap. SOMETHING triggered in my brain and I could NOT get enough of those GREAT songs...Lady Willpower, Young Girl, Over You, Woman, Woman....MAN! SO GREAT to really hear them again with "adult ears"! And Gary's voice was unique to that time...GROOVY! Anyway, aside from picking up some greatest hits CDs, I purchased this disc from his website. It's "The Lost Tapes"...an unreleased collection of songs from the early 70's. When ordering, you could request for personialization, so naturally....

UPDATE - I caught up with Gary during a sound check at a club gig at the Jersey shore. He was incredibly nice, even telling his wife, who he was on the phone with, to hold on while he signs my stuff! Nice!

UPDATE 2 - I met Gary one more time, a few weeks after the above meeting, after a free concert with him and Tommy James and the Shondells.

I know there have been a number of times I've stated here that I was thrilled to get this autograph or honored to score that autograph, but I am truely excited to add the legendary Suzi Quatro to my collection! I consider Quatro to be the first female rocker who made her mark in the 70s. With the flip hairstyle and the leather outfits, she was a it sexy and a bit badass! (OK, so she jumped the shark when she landed the part of Leather Tuscadero on Happy Days...) And she's still out there rocking, recently releasing a CD called QSP (which is Suzi along with Andy Scott (Sweet) & Don Powell (Slade))

Quiet Riot (2005 - Kevin Dubrow, Chuck Wright, Alex Grossi, and Frankie Banali)

WDHA was offering one of their many "low-dough" shows (ie: tickets for $1.05 each!) at the Starland Ballroom with Quiet Riot. My friend Dave Iozzia of davesontour.com went all out to treat me to this show! So, here it is, a hot afternoon in August waiting to catch the band at soundcheck. After hanging for about a half hour, Dave comes pulling into the parking lot in his Honda Accord...with 3 members of Quiet Riot inside!! Dave was kind enough to shuttle the guys around to the bank, post office, CVS and Burger King to grab some lunch! Anyway, I got to meet vocalist Kevin DuBrow, drummer Frankie Banali and new guitarist Alex Grossi. I also had the opportunity to chat for a few minutes with bassist Chuck Wright. Chuck has played and written for a number of great bands and artists in his career like the band, House of Lords (shown below). And he also happens to be a graphic artist as well!!

UPDATE - My buddy Dave caught up with the guys from Quiet Riot about a year after we met them at the Starland show above. It was a beautiful Friday afternoon and it was quite enjoyable to watch the bus driver struggle getting their trailer over the sidewalk hump and into the parking area (which he failed, didn't make it). So that made it a great opportunity since the guys were fed up and wanted off the bus, bringing them right past the fans. And they were all very nice and signed and posed for photos with whoever was there!

UPDATE - Purchased item. It figures! Shortly after I get stuff signed by the band, Newbury comics offers the bands latest release, Thunderbolt, signed by the guys!!

Joe Satriani

Another nod of thanks to my pal Dave Iozzia for grabbing Joe's signature for me! Joe and Eric Johnson stopped by The Starland Ballroom on their recent tour...Dave caught the (what I heard was a GREAT) show and got to go backstage after. Eric and his band had already hit the road, but fortunately Joe hung around for a bit.

UPDATE - Purchased item. Before Joe Satriani was JOE SATRIANI, he was a member of a band called Squares. Newbury Comics offered up signed copies of the band's CD, which I THOUGHT was signed by ALL the band members, but instead was only signed by Joe.

Tom Scholz and Gary Pihl (Boston 2012)

I caught up with the legendary Tom Scholz, frontman and founding member of the equally legendary band Boston, while on tour here in NJ recently. It was so cool to meet this guy, if just for a few seconds! He was very polite and signed my stuff, no problems. Thanks to my bud, Dave Iozzia, we were able to see the show (which was fantastic!) and through Dave's connection with Boston drum tech Buck, we scored after show passes that gave us a few seconds to say hi to the other band members...where I scored long time Boston band member, Gary Pihl's signature on the Corporate America CD insert.

One thing I did personally miss and have to mention...after the show a number of fans were waiting outside by the band's tour bus. One by one, the guys came out "escorted" by the tour manager who essentially prevented them from having any contact with the fans. I had to leave but my bud, Dave, who stayed for a bit, told me a great story about how when Tom Scholz came out he decided he wanted to meet the fans, or what he called "his customers". The tour manager was hassling Tom about having to leave and that they had a tight schedule. What must have been a great scene to see was Tom berating his tour manager and explaining that he was going to "sign everything" for the dozen or so fans and that if another 100 fans showed up, he stay and sign whatever they had too! As someone who does this as a hobby and an opportunity to meet artists who have had an effect on my life, I say "Thank You, Tom"!

Mike Scott (The Waterboys)

Purchased item and not. I Thanks to my pal, Dave Iozzia for taking me along to this show, An Evening with The Waterboys. I'll admit, I was barely interested in seeing this show, not being familiar with their catalog of music. And just HOW is this band, a British-Irish rock/folk band, going to fill the whole evening, with no opening band? Well, I was plesantly surprised and found myself bopping along with every song!By the time it came to their one big radio hit, The Whole of The Moon, I was hooked! Dave had scored after show passes and I got to meet Scott (the only original member) and had him sign my ticket stub!

Since the band Foghat was originally comprised of former members of Savoy Brown, the guys in Foghat had Simmonds join in on a number of songs during the show. Now here's the best part... after the show, the members of Foghat came out to meet and greet with fans but Kim was a no show. Dave asked drummer Roger Earl if Kim was still backstage and would it be ok for us to go back and take a look? Earl did one better by personally taking Dave and myself backstage and introducing us to Simmonds directly! Pretty cool!!

Bruce Springsteen

This is a classic story of I know somebody who knows sombody who knows Bruce. My friend Matt McCarthy knows someone who works at a place that Bruce stops in quite often and that it would be no problem getting Bruce to sign a few things. Sooooo, here are those few things...of most interest here is the French versions of the 18 Tracks sampler. It has a hardcover, booklet style with a preface in French (of course!). I picked it up a number of years ago while Donna and I were in Paris, so it's a great item to have with Bruce's signature on it!

And by the way...a number of years ago Donna and I were driving around the Rumson (NJ) area looking for a place to eat. As we were driving around, I made the comment to "be on the look out cuz we're in Springsteen/Bon Jovi territory." We had stopped at a traffic light with an ice cream shop called Scoops on the corner. I pointed out that I know the guy who did the store logo. We continued to drive around looking for some restaurant to no avail...so we turned around to go back. Once again we're at the traffic light by Scoops. Then Donna points out "that guy kinda looks like Springsteen." And he did look like Bruce...ALOT like Bruce! So I pulled over, got out, got the nerve to walk over and say: "Excuse me...are you Bruce? ...Springsteen?" He nodded and said "yea" real low and then I do the stupid "uhhh, it's great to meet you...I've always been a big fan" thing. That was it. He was there in jeans and a white t-shirt having a cone with his daughter...it was pretty cool!

I've been a fan of John Sykes since the first Blue Murder CD. When he was touring with Thin Lizzy they did a show at the old Birch Hill nightclub in Jersey. After the show, fans got to wait (for quite some time) outside the tour bus for John to come out and go down the line signing stuff. .38 Special

My buddy Dave Iozzia and I attended WDHA's Rock The Park 2005, featuring local band, Queen V (which we were sorry that we missed), Sebastian Bach, 38 Special and Twisted Sister. Just before 38 Special hit the stage, keyboardist Bobby Capps came over and gave me quick autograph (along the left edge). Thanks to Dave's gift of "persuasion", we were able to sneak "backstage" after 38 Special's set...which gave me the opportunity to meet guitarist Danny Chauncey and tell him that I had been a fan since his early 80's band, Billy Satellite. (Danny's autograph is on the lower right.) Also while backstage, I was able to grab bassist Larry Junstrom's autograph (just above Danny's). But probably the most interesting autograph is that of Maria Bach, Sebastian Bach's wife. It just so happens that Maria is the woman on the cover of this particular 38 Special CD! I think she was flattered that I had asked her!!

UPDATE - I caught up with the guys from .38 Special during their 2017 tour, as it came through New Jersey. Thin Lizzy (2011 Lineup)

The newly reformed Thin Lizzy made a tour stop at The Starland Ballroom recently and performed an outstanding show! After the show, a number of us fans waited (WAY too long) outside in an unseasonably cold Sunday night for the opportunity to meet the band. When they finally did appear, they were fairly gracious to the fans, stopping for autographs and photos. I had the my promo photo signed by all the band...Scott Gorham, Marco Mendoza, Vivian Campbell, Ricky Warwick, Darren Wharten and Brian Downey.

BJ Thomas

Auction item. Sometimes I get caught up with a certain artist that I remember from my childhood. The song, Raindrops Are Falling On My Head was a huge hit for BJ Thomas, off of the movie Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. In turn from that hit song, BJ Thomas was on all the variety shows at the time and it just sticks in my head. So now, this album comes up for auction and it is NOT the LP featuring Raindrops, but it is SO COOL just for the images of Thomas on the rainy streets of New York City in the early 70's. Not just front and back cover, but in the gatefold as well. A neat item for my collection indeed!

The Tour Bus

WDHA started broadcasting The Tour Bus (with Ralph Sutton and Matt Murray) on Saturday nights. They play the best of 80's metal. Every once and a while, artists would stop in and perform some acoustic tunes. Well, Ralph and Matt took a bunch of those tunes and released a CD. The guys held a "CD release party" at Scotti's Records in Morristown, NJ and Mike Tramp (of White Lion) was there too, so we have Ralph, Matt and Mike's signatures here.

I had been meaning to pick up a copy of his second volume and I finally did at the 2014 Chiller Con, where he also signed it for me. Joe Lynn Turner

Ahh, the great Joe Lynn Turner... I first met Joe at (of course) the WDHA studios during an anniversary party for the Big Greasy Breakfast morning show with Rob Moorehead. I have been a fan of Joe's voice since the Rainbow days. About a year later, my former art school (The duCret School of Art in Plainfield, NJ) was putting together a fund raiser, and I contacted Joe's managment (the great Lisa Walker!!) about possibly getting Joe to donate some autographed stuff for our event. You can read about THAT at my Glenn Hughes stuff. So then a bit of a friendship of sorts started between myself and Joe's "camp". Jump ahead to about a year later when Donna and I are in Bulgaria to pick up our daughter, Annie. While in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia, I see all these posters for a concert by a band called Brazen Abbot...with Joe doing vocal duties! And it just so happens that the last show is the night before we leave! So, the airport in Bulgaria ain't that big and we run into Joe, I reintroduce myself, tell him why we're in Bulgaria and get some pics with Donna and Annie. Jump ahead to the 2005 KISS Expo...Joe is a featured guest. Lisa Walker guestlists us into the show, we hook up with Joe, get some updated pics of the gang and signs all my crap! What makes the Brazen Abbot DVD so special is that it is the tour that took place the same week Donna and I were in Bulgaria to finally bring Annie home with us! Thanks, Joe...YOU ROCK!

UPDATE - Joe had been touring most of 2005 following the release of The Usual Suspects CD. Donna and I finally caught the tour at the Starland Ballroom...having not seen Joe perform since the early 80's!!! Even tho he had a bit of a cold, he sounded great (as always!!) and we got to meet up with him (and guitarist Karl Cochran) after the show, where they signed the setlist for the night's performance. Said it before...Joe...YOU ROCK!

UPDATE 2 and even MORE...
Joe and Karl Cochran were making the rounds promoting Joe's new CD "Second Hand Life". One of the stops was at Jersey's WDHA studios (where I was lucky enough to get to hang out at). During the interview segment Joe and Karl performed 2 acoustic numbers...always so COOL!

Twisted Sister

WDHA's Rock The Park 2005 headliner, Twisted Sister performed their last ever appearance together at this event. During the course of the day, Guitarist Eddie Ojeda wandered over to talk with someone. Naturally it was my "duty" to interupt and ask for a quick autograph!

UPDATE - Ever the great guy, my buddy Dave Iozzia of davesontour.com went above and beyond to help out my cousin's cousin's son (follow that?) who, at 14, underwent a recent double knee operation! Aside from a bunch of get well e-mail wishes and free swag, AJ Pero, drummer of Twisted Sister made the offer of stopping by to see the kid IN-PERSON! Thanks AJ! While there, AJ was nice enough to sign anything that anybody had.

UPDATE 2 - See Eddie Ojeda.

UPDATE 3 - The original line up of Twisted Sister got together at Vintage Vinyl to promote their new Christmas CD release!! I had the chance to catch up with AJ Pero again and meet all the guys.

UFO

UFO...one of my favorite, FAVORITE bands of all time. UFO and Blue Oyster Cult were doing a tour stop at the Starland Ballroom in Sayerville. I couldn't make the show, so I decided to hang out in the parking lot during the afternoon in hopes of meeting ANYBODY if they came around for soundcheck. I waited a few hours...(met my friend Dave Iozzia for the first time)...and no luck. Dave caught up with the band a bit later and was kind enough to get me this copy of their set list with singer Phil Mogg's and guitarist Vinnie Moore's autograph!! Thanks, Dave!

UPDATE - This was true heaven for me!! After being a diehard UFO fan for (YIKES!) 30 YEARS I finally had the opportunity to meet the band face-to-face! I spoke with and shook hands with the GREAT, GREAT Phil Mogg. Also met up with original drummer Andy Parker and guitarist/keyboardist Paul Raymond. Guitarist Vinnie Moore was there too, but unfortunately no Pete Way due to "visa issues" coming into the U.S. - bummer!

UPDATE 2 - I was lucky enough to grab Phil outside The Starland on yet another tour through the states and NJ. Here Phil signed my promo copy of their new CD, The Visitor. Great show!!

UPDATE 3 - The band started their 2017 Fall tour of the U.S., right here in New Jersey at The Newton Theater. I hung out in hopes of getting Phill Mogg to sign a few treasured items for me, but it was not meant to be. But I did score drummer, Andy Parker's signature on them!

UPDATE 4 - It's coming to the end of the road for the band and I was lucky enough to catch them in NYC for their 2019 farewll tour. Band member Paul Raymond had passed away earlier in the year and the band brought in former band member, Neil Carter, to fill his shoes. Lucky for me, I was standing right in front of (the always energetic) Neil during the show. Once the band was finsihed playing, I had the opportunity for Neil to add his signature to the UFO Live Sightings box set!

Myself and few other folks hung out hoping to snag Joe and get him to sign a few items (which his management said he'd definitely do). When Joe finally arrived he went right into the venue. As we were anxiously awaiting his appearance, someone with one of the bands offered to take our stuff inside for Joe to sign...it seemed like a safe bet! After 15-20 minutes it was like "hmmm, wonder where our stuff is?"...after an hour it was like "HEY!" Every once in a while we would be assured our stuff "had gone up to Joe". UPDATE - Leslie West recently did an in-store appearance at Vintage Vinyl to promote the release of his new CD, Soundcheck. He did a handful of tunes for us and then signed and chatted with fans after. I had him sign his new CD and two other items previously signed by drummer Corky Laing.

Tony Joe White

Purchased item. This, to me, is kinda cool! If you're a fan of dirty, gritty, "swamp rock and blues", then check out Tony Joe White! He offered some signed stuff on his website, so I grabbed this recent LP, signed by Tony Joe!

Laura Wilde

Laura Wilde is a singer/guitarist from Melbourne, Australia. I literally met up with Laura on the streets of New Brunswick, NJ during her tour as opener for Ted Nugent (YIKES!). She was very friendly...as were the rest of her band (they were all getting a taste of Jersey, being here for the first time). Thanks, Laura, for signing my promo photo.

The Winery Dogs

Thanks to a bit of help from my friend Dave Iozzia, who got the Winery Dogs CD signed for me, I'm able to add this FAN-TAS-TIC band to my collection! Richie Kotzen, Billy Sheehan and Mike Portnoy make up this incredible group.I was able to catch them live and meet all three guys to have them sign my stuff.

A special mention here...during the time my wife, Donna, became ill, the Winery Dogs CD was just released. I had listened to their music a number of times during the months her health declined and I drove back and forth to the hospital, etc. Months after she passed, the first concert I attended was a Winery Dogs show at the State Theater in New Brunswick. I went by myself and sat third row. Some of the songs were hard to listen to and some gave me an "inner peace". This band will always have a special place in my memories. Thanks!

UPDATE - To promote their second release, Hot Streak, the band made a stop at the WDHA studios. I had this promotional poster for the Winery Dogs first tour in my possesion for a while and this was a good opportunity to have it signed by the band!

UPDATE 2 - Purchased item. I came across this terrific limited edition canvas print of the band and since I'm a huge fan of the band, I just had to have one!

UPDATE 3 - Purchased item. I can't help myself! I love everything these guys put out!! In honor of their 2017 release Dog Years - Live In Santiago and Beyond, some items popped up on Pledge Music. One of those items was this Hot Streak promo poster, signed by the guys!!

UPDATE 4 - With my continuing obsession with this band...I caught up with Billy and Mike after a Sons of Apollo show and had them sign the Live In Santiago booklet and Mike's "diary" from the Dog Treats box.

Winger

Dave Iozzia once again does the amazing while hooking up with the band Winger while at a stop at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. Dave said it was a packed house and a great set by the band touring in support of their new release, Winger IV. The first two CDs below were previously signed by guitarist Reb Beach.

UPDATE- I caught up with Kip at a recent Chiller Convention and snagged a few more autographs on some items...

Steve Winwood

The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Blind Faith, GO (find that and check it out!) and all his solo work...it's STEVE "FREAKIN'" WINWOOD!!!! It was SO COOL to meet this amazing, legendary, rocker during his recent tour run through New Jersey. He was incredibly polite to the handful of us fans, chatting, signing everything and allowing for photos (not posing for them mind you, but allowing for pics). What a treat!

Brian Wilson

Purchased item. As I've gotten older, I've come to appreciate the creativity and the detail in some of those classic Beach Boys tunes, crafted by Brian Wilson. I was thrilled to find out that you could order his anthology CD, that covers Brian's solo career, and along with the CD, they included a hand-signed poster!

The Wrecking Crew

Purchased item. There is an AMAZING documentary out there called The Wrecking Crew and it talks about the number of musicians who worked behind the scene and without credit (until recently) about their contributions to the many hits of the 60's and 70's. One of those musicians was guitarist Tommy Tedesco, who's son Denny, put together this documentary. Although I wish it were signed by more of those artists, the CD is signed by Denny and the legendary drummer, Hal Blaine. What was a nice additional surprise, was receiving a thank you card from Denny after getting the CD! I had picked this up from the now defunct Pledge Music.

Zakk Wylde

Again at DHA...Zakk and bandmate, Nick Catanese, stopped by the studio to talk about his new release, The Blessed Hellride. One of the interesting things I noticed in Zakk's stuff was that he dates all the autographs...in this case, 5/7/03.

UPDATE - Purchased item. Zakk was offering signed copies of BLS's Grimmest Hits CDs directly from the band's website if you pre-ordered the CD. NOT a greatest hits CD! As he has pointed out in a number of interviews, to have a greatest hits CD you need to have HITS!

X

I owe my buddy, Dave Iozzia, for this one. Dave felt that just having X guitarist, Billy Zoom's autograph was just not enough, so he offered up his fully signed (with the original line up of Exene Cervenka, John Doe, Billy Zoom and DJ Bonebrake) copy of the Ain't Love Grand CD.

Y&T

I have loved this band for YEARS and had never seen them...until April 2017 at BB Kings in NYC! It was an amazing show and frontman Dave Meniketti STILL rocks and sounds great at 63! Dave and the band came out after the show and signed for the fans. Unforunately the band line-up as shown on the poster was slightly different and bassist Brad Lang (shown on the left in the poster) was no longer with the band.

UPDATE - I heard Dave Meniketti on Eddie Trunk's show talking about the long awaited Y&T documentary and that it was finally available!! You could order it through the Y&T website and I put in a request on my order that if Dave could sign it, that would be great...and HE DID!!

ZZ Top

Purchased item. Just after seeing ZZ Top in 2016 I decided to seek out something from the band to add to my collection. I found a great bundle available directly from the band's website that included a lighter, jacket and some other stuff, along with this vinyl copy of their new live album, signed by the band!

Zacherley

OK, well not REALLY a "rock star" but the legendary Zacherley I'm sure has had an influence on a many number of artists. I met John Zacherley at the 2014 Chiller Con (which is essentially named after Zacherley!) and had him sign this DVD compilation for me. This is actually the second one he signed, he was not happy with the first one he did and had the vendor give him another so he could do a better job!
